Each pillar is intricately decorated with unique carvings that portray people, elephants, flowers, and geometrical patterns. The pillars are arranged in such a way that you can always see the deity when standing next to anyone of them. The central temple is dedicated to Adinath, the Revealer of Truth. Continue by road to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy some free time to refresh yourself after the drive or head out for your first look at the city.

Day 6: JODHPUR – PUSHKAR - JAIPUR (350 km – 7 hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will tour the city, founded in 1485 by Maharaja Jodha. The mighty Mehrangarh Fort stands majestically above the ground. Built on the top of a large rock, 120 meters high, it is the most important monument in the city. From its walls you can see a beautiful panorama of the city and inside you can see beautiful medieval rooms. Then drive to Jaipur en route visiting Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. We will contemplate Pushkar lake. The lake is considered one of the holiest places in the world for Hindus and there is a belief that a dip in the lake's waters on Kartika Purnima is equivalent to performing yagnas for several hundred years (yagnas or iagñas are oblation rituals ). Then we will enjoy a walk through the streets and markets that are in the center of the city. Then drive to Jaipur. Arrive in Jaipur and check in at the hotel.

Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 7: JAIPUR

Today, breakfast is followed by a morning jeep drive to the Amber fort, just 11 kilometers north of Jaipur. Described as the ‘sleeping beauty of Rajasthan’, the magnificent Amber Fort is built from pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble and it comprises an extensive palace complex divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard. Some of the main attractions include Jai Mandir or the ‘Hall of Victory’, a masterpiece of intricate stucco with elegant panels inlaid with mirrors, and Sheesh Mahal, also known as the Mirror Palace. We will visit the 'pink city' that includes the city palace, the astronomical observatory, the Palace of the Winds and the streets with their inimitable markets. When finished, we return to Jaipur to have the afternoon free.

Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 8: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA (250 km – 6 hrs)

Early morning, after breakfast, drive to Agra, home of the world-famous Taj Mahal. Stop en route at the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. The monumental walled city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar as the capital of the Mughal Empire in 1571. However, the city was abandoned just a few years after its completion due to a lack of water. Today, it is a remarkably well-preserved collection of red sandstone palaces, pavilions, and mosques. The complex presents a unique blend of Hindu and Islamic styles, and it includes the 40-meter-high victory gate, Jami Masjid, the tomb of Shaik Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal, a cloistered courtyard and Pachchisi, where the Emperor played chess using slave girls as figurines. Continue to Agra and check in at the hotel. Enjoy an afternoon tour of the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world and one of the greatest love stories ever told. On the death of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, Shahjehan built her this memorial which took 20,000 men and over 17 years. Stay at the Taj Mahal until sunset and watch the glittering white marble change color as the sun goes down over its domed roof. It is a truly magical sight.

Overnight in Agra.

Day 9: AGRA – DEPARTURE DELHI (220 km – 4 hrs)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before visiting Agra Fort, the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. It was designed primarily as a military installation, with a colossal 20-meter-high wall that stretches around it for more than 2 kilometers. Shah Jahan later transformed it into a palatial fortress and the red sandstone bastions now protect the dozens of beautiful white marble palaces and courtyards that he constructed inside. Explore Diwan-i-Am, the Public Hearing Room, where the emperor received members of the general public and heard their grievances, and Diwan-i-Khas, the Private Hearing Room, where he dealt with foreign dignitaries. After the tour, transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport for your onward or return flight (we recommend you to book your return flight no earlier than 8:00 pm, as an estimated time of arrival to the airport is 4:00 pm). Although this is the last day of your tour with us through the history, culture and magical charm of Rajasthan, we are sure that your memories of this unique region will last you a lifetime!

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in India. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Shoes should be removed before entering a temple or private house. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
